"Imagine the power of those who control credit, who in response to the will of the British people to re-commandeer their economy, downgraded their credit rating and ability to buy goods because they were upset with their decision to leave the European Union. -Peter Commons"
The European Trade Union has been a dream for continental European States, like Germany, and France. However, take one indepth look at England, and you'd find out why, it would be in their interest to leave before this ship sinks. Enjoy this informative video on the issue.
Since the dawn of the EU, NAFTA, and African Union, trade organizations have provided post-modern central planning for regions, granting nations traditionally ruled by Royal families, Duchies, and Democratically elected governments to the Administrative whims of major multi-National Corporations and their Boards of Directors. These trade unions have made both moderate and positive contributions to their respective economies.
At the height of the European Union, this regional trade group was the world's number one economy from 2009-2012, up seated by The People's Republic of China, and followed by the United States. With such economic might, losing control and access to the United Kingdom's market not only immediately downgrades the EU to the third economy of the world, but empowers British Merchants to compete alongside the states of the European Union.
As always, we would defer to the opinions to Queen Elizabeth II... Still, the long term effects of trade unions, their international finance banks (World Bank & IMF), and their central planning of regional economies need further analysis and study. The African Union, by far has the most potential to control the world's resources and emerging economies, but has yet to uproot and repel the legal and financial advances of various foreign powers including the EU and the People's Republic of China, to support major development in African nations without outside hegemonic influence.
The people of the world are watching as the era of Trade Unions plays out. With other major players like ASEAN, the Pacific Union, the Union of South American Nations, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the emerging Arab League pre engaged by war. The contention will be between the Old Regime of Traditional Aristocracy and Royal Families and the new rulers of society, the major Multi-national Corporations and their financiers, both of which, control all the Democratic Republics worldwide. Stay tuned!
Comedians are essential to our culture because their unique perspectives shed light on our collective cultural mores, behaviors, trends, and nuissances. However, the rise and fall of comedians is swift and like a flash of lightning, so before you know it, the encore is over and our once heralded Philosopher Kings are villians, lost in translation, or simply gone from the limelight. From the years 2000-2010, powerhouse comedians blessed the stages of America, from the Kings of Comedy (2000) with its infamous lineup, DL Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, Bernie Mac, and Steve Harvey, to the Comedy Giant and Genius of Chris Rock with his sensational Stand-up routines and hit show, Everybody Hates Chris. We discovered independent giants like Katt Williams, Eddie Griffin, Bill Burr and Louis CK. Comedians John Stewart and Stephen Colbert, made a seismic impact on the genre, with their satire hits, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, which called into question American society and politics at hand, modelled largely after Bill Maher's show.
Female Comedians, Sommore, Sheryl Underwood, Aisha Tyler, Luenell, and Melanie Comarcho were so funny, they brought the comedy game to a balance equation with their routines. Monique, Wanda Skyes, Rosie O Donnell, and Ellen Degeneres, were so funny, we brought them inside with television talk shows just to show our appreciation. Female comedians today are able to grace our stages without the heckle or paycut because of these ladies.
Jamie Foxx and Earthquake have such timely routines, that rewind time and take you back to the exact feelings you had during the first air. Who can forget the Comedy Royal Family of the Wayans, Keenen, Damon, Kim, Marlon, Shawn, and everyone whose careers blossomed because of their genius and support. There isn't a more important family to comedy than the Wayans and due to their long list of comedy masterpieces, following the airing of their 90's hit show, In Living Color, its simply an insult to only mention that Scary Movie 1-2, will forever rank as one of the funniest parodies of all time.Speaking of influences, Tommy Davidson, The Great David Allen Grier and the Great Jim Carrey, ascended from comedy heroes to legends during this decade. If a comedian can have you laugh so hard that you clinch your stomach for the entire movie or routine, they have obtained the status the these guys have worked hard to craft and maintain.
Chris Tucker was able to capture this ability, even if it was for a moment. Who can deny, that Adam Sandler, who got his start on one of the Comedy God's, Bill Cosby's, Cosby Show, was anything other than crafty, hilarious, and timely. Another giant, who went from hero to legend during this decade, George Lopez, who confirmed his place at the table with his show, The George Lopez Show. Latinos have always been on the comedy scene (Desi Arnez) giving a great opportunity for Gabriel Iglesias, to catapult us to laughter as, Fluffy, and giving voice to overweight Americans, alongside Ralphie May. So, while being fat was becoming culturally prevalent but still taboo in American society, these comedians including Bruce Bruce, made fat sexy again, relevant, and most of all valuable. But before we escape those comedians whose mark on television or the silverscreen, was nothing less than meteoric, we won't forget Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), and Kevin James (King of Queens).
The creator geniuses of Family Guy (Seth McFarland), South Park (Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Brian Graden) and The Boondocks (Aaron McGruder) cartoons, probably saved America from their destructive self righteousness . A sentence ending with, wtf, can only explain the laughter those cartoon creators gave viewers, wtf.
What is a article about comedy without Saturday Night Live, who during this decade gave us the half retarded Tina Fey, the sensational Aries Spears, and Hood Crossover Tracy Morgan to name a few. Just the mention of Saturday Night Live reminds us, Will Ferrell, may ascend and burst into a skittles bag of laughter before the next decade is out. So, in this article, we won't debate the greatness of Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jerry Seinfield, or Dave Attell, or explain why we reserve the category of the greatest comedian of all time, for Eddie Murphy. In a given decade, viewers watched the coming and going of huge stars. Thus, to announce the Comedian of the Decade is a powerful marker, worthy of consideration of widespread influence, commercial cross over affect, substance, and finally, the simple, is he or she funny? The Blue Collar Comedy Tour gave us one notable comedian and it wasn't Larry the Cable Guy or Jeff Foxworthy. It was Ron White, with his cigar and cup of liquor style which was the cigarette breath of comedy genuis of that group. He was like the "white Robin Harris," telling us like it is and not how it isn't. And the blue collar comedy movement opened the genre to Christian comedians, like Jeff Allen, Gilbert Esquivel, and the sensational Michael Jr.
Last, because we can go forever about this decade, and throw in some George Carlin quotes, or apologize for the names we missed, like the retarded funny, Lisa Lampanelli, Keith Robinson, and Greg Giraldo, but Mike Epps, cracked us up from the silver screen in How High, The Friday After Next, and All About the Benjamins, to now as we go bonkers at his stand up routines. Given the huge net of talent during this decade, America also lost "Comedy Gods," during this time, most notably, Richard Pryor, Rodney Dangerfield, and the legendary Bernie Mac. Patrice Oneal (Elephant in the Room 2011), would briefly break down the audience before looking him in the next decade 2011. So, finally, no one will deny the rise of Aziz Ansari, South Africa's Trevor Noah, or the new King of Comedy Kevin Hart. We only celebrate as the newbies for this current decade continue, Hannibal Buress gets funnier each routine, we look for Steve Byrne, whose rise and fall was truly too quick, and how Theo Von is truly on crack or something. We continue to thirst for the original player, Bill Bellemy to return to the stand up game, anticipate more killer routines from DL Hughley, and ask ourselves how many movies does Tyler Perry have? This Memorial Weekend, we at West Oakland Imports Publishers would like to celebrate our Comedian of the Decade (2000-2010)... Dave Chappelle.
The following stand up, was performed in the Bay Area and our community is represented in the Bay. So, we want to feature this routine by Dave, which captures a pivotal moment in his career immediately after the end of his widely successful and genius critically acclaimed show, the Chappelle Show. We give you and uplift the comedy God, Dave Chappelle.

As the United States approaches the November 8th elections and Presidential Candidates get closer to clinching their Democratic or Republican Nominations, it is still very important to watch the last days of this historic President, Mr. Barack Obama.
From saving the US economy from the worst Recession since the Great Depression, brought on by the previous President, Mr. George W. Bush and his "trickle down economics," "tax-cuts for the wealthy," and war crusades in the Middle East, to successfully passing Universal Healthcare. Our President Barack Obama will go down in history for passing the most significant legislation in the United States, since President Lyndon Johnson, who passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, The Voting Rights Act, and sought to fight some wars of his own against Vietnam and poverty.
What is not known by the public, is the delicate real life game of strategy being played by the President behind the scenes, which seeks to ensure American national interests worldwide, against major players such as the new number one economy in the world, China, and its, distant ally, Russia. The world in the 21st Century has been claimed by international critics as, "the Asian Century." It is no longer true to say that the United States is "the last Superpower in the world," while trailing behind the Chinese economy in major areas including innovation, investment in domestic/international business, and now, Space Exploration, as China explores the surface of the Moon.
What is certain, there is a delicate game being played behind the scenes (G7 Summit), and ordinary Americans need to shake off their 24 hour cycle of "Infotainment," and distractions to look around and see what is really going on in the last days of our great President.
Our guest, is Mr. John Pilger, a renown journalist worldwide, for seeking truth in the face of Power. In his latest post, Pilger reveals some interesting facts about the world around us in 2016. Pay close attention and please go back and study who this man is.
Finally, I thank Mr. Cowan Amaye-Obu for keeping his mouth shut and allowing me to voice many of his truths and opinions, with a little fact checking, coffee, and wrestling of ideas, in exchange for posting exclusively on his blogspot. We both feel a grave service needs to be done to ensure the American Press does their job and speaks to power, not allowing power to dictate our speech. He often says, "truth doesn't give you a bulletproof vest." A wise man indeed. I can only respond that if we say nothing, then a sinister injustice will be perpetuated and history would know nothing of what really occurs behind the scenes, in our circles and in our daily lives. Last, Dave Chappelle, will be our featured comedian this holiday season, named Our Comedian of the Decade (2000-2010). He offered a sobering critique of America. "America is the greatest nation on Earth, but would be the greatest nation of all time, if we really sat down and honestly discussed and addressed our problems." We agree with Mr. Chappelle. And so, without further ado, Mr. Pilger...

After Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, and Common, there is a Top Five Spot, in Hip Hop. The top Five Spot, has a heavy rotation list which includes rappers like 50 Cent, Kanye West, and other heavy artists who crush the Rap Game in a given year. In 2015, there were no better contenders than The Game, Jadakiss, and Rick Ross. In 2015, The Game jolted the Hip Hop community alive with, The Documentary 2 release. Every track on the album is a West Coast Hit. Hits from the release were very accessible on Rhapshody, YouTube, and other streaming services, giving Hip Hop Heads taste to buy the nearly Gold selling album. When the, Top Five Dead or Aliverelease by Jadakiss, hit the streets, the streets went bananas! The album solidified the Incumbent Contender, Jadakiss, as the Best Rapper to beat, and he murdered every track on the release extending from his previous Mixtape Hits, The Champ and Consignment, each previous consecutive summer. The Miami based rapper, Rick Ross closed the 2015 year with the release ofBlack Market. While the album adds hits to the list of the Platinum selling Artist, record sells released by Maybach Music Group and Def Jam Recordings are still moving to meet expectations. The street credibility, truth to the art, Substance, and skills put on the table in 2015, only deserves the greatest award Hip Hop can give. That award, with equal love and appreciation to all the contenders, now goes to The Game... The only honorable mention is Kendrick Lamar.
Hollywood has been fighting back notions of racism behind the screen and the burden of proof lies in the material put in front of audiences nationwide. Thank the Comedy Gods for mercy because the curtains have rolled up and Black America through the genius of Kevin Hart's Hartbeat Productions, once again has talented voices to help ease everyday Black American life. Now introducing...
Keith Robinson: Back of the Bus Funny (2014) is a breath of fresh air good. Actor & Writer, Robinson delivers a raunchy but tough routine. With topics from "Catch a Predator," to growing up in South Philly, Keith keeps viewers clutching their stomach in hysteria. Don't miss this routine because you'd miss a great moment in comedy history. (5 Stars)
Lil' Rel: RELevant, staring Lilrel Howery, is set in Chicago. Lil' Rel takes the audience back to his hometown, from chuckle to full crying from laughter. Try catching the bus in Chicago or understanding the preacher at church, and see the everyday comedy that is Lil Rel's reality. Don't sleep on this routine or you'd find yourself missing one of the great new comedians. (5 Stars)
Speaking of new comedians, HartBeat Productions recently released The Plastic Cup Boyz, with comedians, Will Norton, Na'im Lynn, & Joey Wells. A tribute to these young men, Kevin Hart, sets the stage for these comedians to create their own path. By the end of the set, you have to agree, the jokes were funny. (4 Stars)
So, while Hollywood continues to crank out film after film of reflecting White American society, the vacuum created by the absence of even the usual Black suspects, is alarming. But never fear, thanks to Kevin Hart and HartBeat Productions, at least, African Americans can start watching comedy again. All three Stand-up Routines are featured on Netflix this month.
There once was a village under siege by a ten-headed Leopard that had an evil orisha. And the evil Leopard had white spots and it sought to inflict the villagers with ten connecting afflictions. The first affliction was a disease of the Ori (mind) and it caused villagers to forget their gods and ancestors. They would forget their tribe, clan and family members. And some forgot their own name. The second affliction was a disease of the body, which caused villagers to have white spots and high fever. The affliction rotted the body inside and out until the person lost all control of the senses and passed on to the ancestors. The third affliction was a canker, which corrupted the food produced in the ground, making the plants infertile and deform, and the yam roots lost their strength and color. The fourth affliction was turning the sweet water of the village spring into bitter and hard water. Many people would get fever from drinking from the spring at night, unless they boiled out the impurities of the water, which had always been pure and sparkling since it was given to them from the creator, Olorun. The fifth affliction caused the villagers to fight among each other like never before. And they suspected, distrusted, and hated each other because of the deteriorating conditions of the village. The sixth affliction gave the Clansmen reason to imprison, enslave, or even kill their fellow Clansmen or women. It was the cause of great mourning in the town, as a hunter accused of poisoning the spring was seized, executed and his family sold into the market at Gao. The seventh affliction introduced drunkenness through pride of the Ori, herb, or drink of orguro. The drunkenness caused villagers to be sloth and backward. And many of the Clansmen no longer tended to the business of the village, which was the marriage and husbandry to the land for wild rice, yam, cassava, plantain, palm, cucumber, and milk of the goat or cattle. The marriage to the land, the clan, and protection of sacred animals was the first contract between the creator and their ancestors. And the more the clan became distant among its people, the land and animals, the more the village market suffered. The eight affliction was confusion, so the evil orisha, was never seen or suspected. And the Clans people could never focus on one issue. As soon as one problem was being tracked another problem was arising, until the circle of confusion was like a dog chasing its tail because of an offense.
The ninth affliction was the threat of invasion by another tribe seeking redress because the Leopard had begun to siege their villages. And the outside tribe, a former friend, sought justification for the incidents befalling their towns. Sending messengers to the village, and finding that the same incidents had befallen the people. The Amanyanobu (King) of the Tribe declared to his messengers to tell the village, “an evil has arisen among you and it has reached our shores. Unless a tribute in men or women servants, gold, and cattle for sacrifice is provided, we will not forget how you turned to evil and did us, your friends harm. And we will find it just cause to war against you.” The message was a warning to the Village Chiefs. Devastation and war was upon them. Without the courage of their ancestors and the self-determination for their right to survive, the entire village would be conquered by a smiling enemy. The final affliction was the disappearance of members of the village. Children, women and men were all victims, so that when an entire compound went silent, the Men of the Clan immediately convened a War Council to send spies to neighboring towns and markets to determine if the family of the compound had been kidnapped for ransom or sold into enslavement by the order of the Amanyanobu. And when the neighboring towns showed no track or evidence of their arrival, the War Council found no reason to begin armed conflict with their neighbors. The Men of the town were perplexed by the information from their spies, not knowing that the evil ten-headed Leopard of white spots, had devoured his victims in their compound without a trace. So, the village called a council, for which, every member of the clan was told to attend.
The village gathered at the village circle, and the families of all the compounds sat as an audience. The Elder Men and Warriors sat across from the Elder Women, while the Chiefs of the village, including the Chief Oni (Priest) and King sat on wooden stools in the middle. And the village summoned Elders from their tribe in neighboring towns to seek their help. A public sacrifice of a young calf was made to the orisha, Ogun and the entire village brought a libation on the land, to call for the intervention of their ancestors in this situation. The occasion was lead by the Oni. Then the King spoke.
“Ashe…
My friends and children, my brothers and sisters, my Uncles and Aunts, my Mothers and Fathers, my Mothers of Mothers and my Fathers of Fathers, my Chiefs and Chiefs of Chiefs…
Do not forget… Do not forget the Orishas of our clan, and do not forget the names of your ancestors. Do not forget the bonds of our Clan, which we have forged like the fires with the sweat of our brow, the tears of our eyes, and the blood of our blood.
Our Clan is the hive. And like the bee, we are small in our everyday duties. Attending to the land that was given to us by the creator, feeding the animals that sustain us, and looking after those ancestors the Orishas have now made our children and wives and husbands. So like the bee, together, we are mighty to come upon, fearsome and deadly to those who dare to look in our direction and take offense to our presence. Together, we are strong. As one we are divided like the little bee… Do not forget the bonds that bind our clan. It is sweeter than the honey in the honeycomb. This Clan is the beehive. So we gather together to determine the source of these strange and evil afflictions daring to challenge us and threaten our existence. We will give it such a scare, such a sting, that death will come in this life and the next. Therefore, I have summoned the oracle of Babalu Aye, to heal our waters, to cleanse our people. She will cure our plants, and sanctify our animals. And if there is hatred in your heart towards your fellow brother or sister, then she shall cure you or kill you. There is none above the Clan!”
Then, the oracle of Babalu Aiye entered from the deep Forest and the village was in fear and awe because she was a woman. And immediately, she began to chant with a loud voice and to dance around the village circle calling powerful Orishas and moving. She swept the people with her broom and she swept everyone in the village circle going up and down, from family to family, Elder to Warrior, Mother to Sister, and Chief to King. Then she ate from the calf sacrifice. Taking a pot-bowl of water, she mixed burnt coal into bowl with palm oil, washed her face, arms and legs in front of the entire village as they gazed on. And with the same water, she sprinkled upon all the members of the Clan and at once, the veil casted upon them by the evil Orisha was lifted. And the Men saw that the oracle of Babalu Aiye was to be desired, and the women saw that she was beautiful. Her skin smooth brazen dark brown, her breast firm and ready, her arms strong and her legs long and stable. Her shoulders were broad and her hands snapped, the people out of their evil trance.
“Sick of the Ori (mind), sick with the deadly fever, sick of the Ashe (soul). Your waters are polluted and your animals are polluted. You are haunted by the damned, which seeks to consume you as one. A ten-headed beast roams this village. I have seen him with my eyes, come into your compounds and sit in this square as a man. At night he devours and he will devour again. Infection, infection, infection…. Gather your arms all ye Men and Women, Clean and Infected. Release the prisoners and buy back your Sisters from the market or suffer, this devastation and inflection. I say, release the prisoners and buy back your Sisters from the market or suffer this devastation and infection. I say again, release the prisoners and buy back your Sisters from the market or suffer this deadly devastation and infection. ” she said.
Then, one of the Chiefs, who was healed from the coming fever by the sprinkling of water, got up and shouted, “Heyo… Ashe. Ashe…Babalu Aiye. What is the name of the oracle of Babalu Aiye?” And she replied, “I am Abayomi… Abayomi will return in twenty-eight days and if you have cleansed yourselves of these afflictions, I will destroy the demon. But if you have not, you will never again live in peace.” Then she ran out of the mist of the village circle and disappeared back into the deep forest as an Orisha in the skin of a Gazelle. This was the form she was to use to attract the ten-headed Leopard.
And after twenty-eight days, Abayomi, the oracle of Babalu Aiye returned to the village at dusk as a beautiful dark brown Gazelle. Then she came unto herself when she came out of the deep forest into the village. And she stood in the middle of the village circle covered. And the Chief Priest found the King and told him that Abayomi had returned, so he gathered all the Chiefs and the warriors to salute her. And the king ordered a young calf to be sacrificed to Babalu Aiye, to thank the great Orisha for healing the village spring. And when the King and his Clansmen came upon Abayomi, she asked, “Have you released the prisoners and brought back your Sisters from the city of Gao & Timbuctoo? The King responded, “even now they are returning to their compounds and we have met all ransoms to find them.” Then Abayomi replied, “and to the hunter slain in his innocence, the village shall furnish a bronze, so that his Ashe can enter and be as a reminder of the evil spirit that possessed the village and it people until the innocent was slain and his family sold. And his family must be returned the dowry for their lost of a son. His wife shall possess his compound and shall rule it as her own.” And the King did as commanded. Then, Abayomi told the King to prepare for battle, for the evil ten-headed Leopard, was a travelling Oni during the day and during the night he feasted on his patrons. This was the dusk that the Village was to fight and destroy the power of the white-spotted Leopard.
So the Warriors departed, following Abayomi into the brush. They passed the spring where the villagers retrieved water, and into the deep forest, where the Lions, Hyenas, Baboon, and pythons rule, especially in the night. And the Gazelle of Babalu Aiye stood eating from a sacred bush, when the travelling Oni noticed her beauty. Slowly the Oni crept towards the Gazelle as she chose the choice flowers, and when he was in the bush behind her, he began to change form into the evil ten-headed Leopard. Suddenly, the King and his warriors came to action.
They attacked the beast from the side and were driven back by his snare. They attacked from behind but were stricken by his claws and voracious heads. At close enough range, the Warriors could hurl spears at the beast, but it was the heart that pushed the Leopard on. The spirit of the Orisha Ogun, came unto the King as his courage drove him to sever a head of the beast with his sword, then another, and another but the claws in the endeavor injured him. And just when the beast had made its escape, up a tree and let out a piercing snarl at the warriors, Abayomi, the woman, threw a spear that drove right through the Leopard’s heart and impelled the beast to the tree. And the warriors cut out the heart of the beast and cheered with a great sound of victory. The siege of the village was finally over, that night. And the King, who had to be carried home by his fellow Clansmen, honored Abayomi, as the Orisha, who saved the village.

Dear Readers,
Under the guidance of Mr. Peter Commons and the Office of the Architect, I have been advised to cease all political posts and opinions in the interest of furthering my private corporate aims without hindrance or connection to a political agenda and cause. This gives me great concern and sincere reluctance because my passionate views often expose real issues facing my fellow Americans and my beloved African American community, who often trust and give consent to spurious public policy both domestically and internationally, especially in the face of a so called "Free Press," or media and Bias Academia, who fail to truly question and investigate those in power because their operational budgets depend on having good relations with their major government sponsors.
In the past two months, I have discussed the 21st Century style of oppression crushing African Americans in regards to the police and US prison/US Justice system, Gentrification or the privatization in NYC, Organized Spurious religion and public distractions, unemployment due to the reluctance of major corporations to pay a living minimum wage, mass breaches of information releasing private information by universities and businesses, abuses in food production management, the Porter Ranch methane spill, the shame in the presence of Former President George W. Bush without fear of reprisal for his crimes, the misinformation about the exposure of the Zika virus, the real political imprisonment of Buju Banton, the NSC Memorandum #46, the exposure of the Louisiana water crisis in addition to the Flint, Michigan, how the Pentagon spent $4.7 billion on media and Public Relations, why ISIS exists, and finally the empire built under the guise of the Obama Administration's rise to power in the United States.
All these issues are of sincere importance to our democracy here in the United States and how Americans are perceived around the world, especially average citizens who travel abroad and receive hostile responses simply because we are American, but honestly have no consent to how the US has carried on militarily and diplomatically in other countries.
So, with a heavy heart, I surrender my opinions to Mr. Peter Commons and forward my posts through the Office of the Architect, who are more than capable of conducting the needed responses to the complex public discourse. Mr. Commons is of sound repute and mind, expounding on many of the topics with indepth research and judgement. As for my Executive duties to the Office of the Architect, I am to pursue purely economic aims designed to generate profit and employment for our colleagues and friends, and ultimately the African American and wider American communities. Thank you for your viewership and I encourage your monetary & creative patronship of our future product lines, our publishing group, West Oakland Imports and subsidiary companies. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mr. Cowan Amaye-Obu
