In preparation for the inauguration of President Donald Trump, it is important to reflect on the character of the office of the United States President and the relationship to the US Constitution, the US Congress, and the US Supreme Court. In the 1980s, the Commission of the Bicentennial of the US Constitution produced an interview series featuring the living US Presidents at the time. Courtesy of the James Madison Foundation, we present those interviews for a platform to better understand the office of the Presidency, their issues and concerns, and their forecasts of the future. Beginning with the late US President Richard Nixon, President Gerald Ford, President Jimmy Carter, and President Ronald Reagan, the conversation helps reveal the nature of the office of the US President and the concerns. As we watch the exit of President Barack Obama for the President-Elect, Donald Trump, educate yourselves on what President Trump faces in the next four years. We also call for a new congressional Commission to document the views of US President George HW Bush, President William Clinton, President George W. Bush, and President Barack Obama in the near future. Thank you for your viewership.
